Job summary

ROLLER is seeking a hands-on engineering lead in Sydney to mentor a team of engineers while delivering backend services in C#/.NET and Angular. You will set technical direction, own production reliability, and collaborate with product managers and designers to ship impactful features at scale.

This leadership role balances code, team growth, and hiring, with a focus on real-world guest experiences, memberships, and loyalty systems across a globally distributed platform.

Qualifications

• Six-plus years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Deep backend experience in C# and .NET and full-stack capability.
• Proven cloud pattern knowledge and performance tuning.
• Experience leading incidents from post-mortem to fix and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team with regular 1:1s, performance reviews and career growth.
• Build backend services and Angular interfaces, shipping with product teams.
• Own production reliability, monitor systems with SREs and respond to incidents.
