Job summary

Wolf & Williams, a leading Australian law firm, seeks a Senior Associate to join its growing Digital, Technology and Commercial practice in Sydney. The role blends advisory and transactional work, with significant client exposure and mentoring of junior lawyers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years' post-qualification experience in technology or corporate law and experience advising on technology transactions, IP, privacy and data protection.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PAE in commercial, technology or corporate practice.
• Experience advising on technology transactions, intellectual property, privacy, data protection or commercial contracting.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills; practical, commercially astute advice.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Genuine interest in technology and the evolving digital economy landscape.
• Excellent communication skills and autonomy in handling matters.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on technology transactions, digital transformation projects and complex sourcing arrangements.
• Supporting organisations with IP exploitation, data governance and cyber risk matters.
• Assisting procurement processes, commercial negotiations and contracting initiatives.
• Preparing and negotiating commercial agreements across technology, telecommunications and digital services sectors.
• Building trusted relationships with corporate and government stakeholders.
• Collaborating with senior practitioners on market-leading matters and mentoring juniors.
