Job summary

Mercy Community is seeking a dynamic Team Manager to lead the Family and Child Connect Program in Caboolture. This permanent full-time role involves guiding a skilled team and collaborating with the Senior Program Manager to deliver high-quality family support services.

You will build and sustain strategic relationships with government and NGO partners, oversee service delivery, safety and risk management, and ensure alignment with Mercy Community policies and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree or above in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in safety and risk assessments, family support and intervention services; focus on neglect and domestic violence.
• Sound understanding of the Queensland child protection system.
• Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s Licence.
• Current Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to apply.
• Evidence of vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program areas operate in accordance with Mercy Community policies, procedures and values in consultation with the line manager.
• Oversee management of incidents in line with organisational and legislative requirements with the Program Manager/Senior Program Manager.
• Establish and maintain relationships with DCSYW and stakeholders to support program reputation.
• Prepare and submit reports against service agreements within required timeframes.
• Provide direct support to staff in managing relationships and therapeutic engagements with stakeholders.

Job description

Mercy Community are on the search for a dynamic Team Manager to guide our Family and Child Connect Program based in Caboolture. This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity, working alongside a well experienced team and Senior Program Manager.

The successful applicant will provide senior leadership in the development and implementation of high-quality service delivery, networking and regional engagement of the local service system, and ensure quality practice and strategic relationships with government and NGO services.

This role involves but not limited to -

• Ensure that the program areas operate in accordance with Mercy Community’ and co-agency policy, procedures and values, service schedules, accreditation requirements and other relevant protocols in close consultation with the line manager.
• Oversee the effective management of critical and non-critical incidents in line with organisation and legislative requirements, and in consultation with the Program Manager/Senior Program Manager.
• Proactively establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the Department of Child Safety, Youth & Women (DCSYW), mandatory reporters and other key stakeholders to ensure the excellent reputation ofMCprograms in the broader community.
• Prepare reporting against service agreements or any other reports required and submit these reports to the manager in required timeframes.
• Provide direct assistance to employees in the management of their relationships and therapeutic engagements with all stakeholders

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

• Tertiary degree or above in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in conducting safety and risk assessments, family support and intervention services; focusing on neglect and domestic violence.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of the Queensland child protection system
• Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
• Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or ability to apply
• Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
