Job summary

Zambrero in Sydney is seeking Team Leaders to oversee daily operations and deliver fast, fresh Mexican food with a smile.

As Shift Supervisor you will lead a restaurant team, support training and rostering, manage stock and safety, and help create memorable customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Evidence of leadership in a fast-paced service environment.
• Commitment to customer service excellence and teamwork.
• Experience in training and onboarding new staff.
• Experience with staff rostering and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team in day-to-day operations.
• Model Zambrero values and culture in all actions.
• Assist in training, developing, and driving the team to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Assist in rostering and managing staff performance reviews.
• Ensure food is prepared, presented and served to the highest standard.
• Assist with stock ordering from suppliers.
• Support in office administration duties (paperwork, banking, payroll, policies).
• Oversee daily/weekly cleaning of production areas, dining room and restaurant.
• Assist in executing marketing promotions.
• Ensure safety and Workplace Health and Safety standards are followed and staff trained.

What you’ll do

Our Team Leaders take pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of the day-to-day operations in the restaurant.

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations
• Being a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the Zambrero values and culture
• Assisting in training, developing, and driving the team to deliver positive and memorable customer experiences
• Assisting with hiring new team members and onboarding them
• Assisting in managing the team, including staff performance reviews, and rostering staff
• Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
• Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers
• Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and reviewing policies
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
• Assisting with executing marketing promotions
• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
