Job summary

Zambrero in New South Wales (St Leonards) is seeking a Team Leader to guide day-to-day operations and uphold Zambrero's values.

You will train and develop staff, assist in hiring, manage rostering and stock, and ensure food is prepared to the highest standard while delivering memorable customer experiences. Flexible hours help you balance work and life, with our Plate 4 Plate initiative reinforcing our mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team in day-to-day operations.
• Model Zambrero values and culture.
• Train, develop, and drive the team to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding.
• Manage staff performance and rostering.
• Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served to high standards.
• Assist with stock ordering from suppliers.
• Office administration such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and policies.
• Manage daily and weekly cleaning of production areas and dining room.
• Assist with executing marketing promotions.
• Uphold Workplace Health and Safety standards and training.

What You’ll Do

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day-to-day operations
• Being a role model for the standards and behaviours consistent with the Zambrero values and culture
• Assisting in training, developing, and driving the team to deliver positive and memorable customer experiences
• Assisting with hiring new team members and onboarding them
• Assisting in managing the team, including staff performance reviews, and rostering staff
• Ensuring food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
• Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers
• Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, payroll and reviewing policies
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
• Assisting with executing marketing promotions
• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety
