Job summary

The Department of Corporate and Digital Development in Alice Springs is seeking a hands-on Team Leader, Vacancy Advertising Services, to lead a small local team and deliver high-quality recruitment advertising, external media coordination, application management and recruitment programs for NT Government agencies.

You will shape the service, balance priorities, drive improvements, and work with agencies to achieve positive outcomes. The role is full time fixed term for 12 months.

Remuneration Package: $121,018 - $134,714

(including salary $102,505 - $114,282)

Lead a key recruitment service and build an engaged, capable team delivering recruitment services for Northern Territory Government agencies.

The opportunity

Vacancy Advertising Services supports recruitment activity across the Northern Territory Public Sector, coordinating vacancy advertising, external media, application management, recruitment programs and recruitment administration.

As Team Leader, Vacancy Advertising Services, you will lead a small Alice Springs based team and take responsibility for the quality, consistency and responsiveness of the service.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with genuine scope to shape the team environment and how the service is delivered.

• manage day to day service delivery and competing operational priorities
• work with government agencies to resolve issues and support positive recruitment outcomes
• identify practical improvements to systems, processes and service delivery
• contribute to recruitment policy and procedural development.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced people leader with sound judgement, strong communication skills and a focus on customer service.

You will be comfortable setting expectations, building trust and optimising performance in a busy operational environment.

Experience in HR, recruitment or a similar service delivery setting will be important, together with the ability to interpret and apply employment legislation and work effectively with electronic recruitment systems.
