Job summary

Wannon Water in Camperdown, Victoria is seeking a Team Leader Treatment Operations to lead a skilled team in delivering essential water and sewerage services across sites from Lismore to Port Campbell.

In this full-time role you will supervise treatment operations, ensure safe, efficient asset maintenance and drive continuous improvement with a focus on Zero Harm and high standards of service.

Qualifications

Job description

We have an ongoing full-time position for a Team Leader Treatment Operations to lead a skilled team in the delivery of essential water and sewerage services. Based in Camperdown Victoria, this position works across sites throughout our service region from Lismore to Port Campbell.

As Team Leader, you'll provide strong, practical leadership to our Treatment Operations team, ensuring our water and sewerage assets are maintained safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This position comes with a generous salary of $94,275 to $102,499 p.a. plus superannuation.

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

• Lead, motivate and develop employees to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives, work orders and treatment operations duties.
• Provide effective supervision and oversight to treatment operationsworks, including contracted activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with our values, Zero Harm expectations, policies and legislative requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate planned and reactiveworks, working closely with planning and scheduling teams to prioritise resources, respond to incidents and ensure maintenance programs are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Operate and maintainwater treatment, disinfection and sewage treatment plants, including water quality monitoring, statutory sampling, environmental management systems and the timely response to treatment incidents.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with

• A Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or suitable equivalent.
• Experience in the water industry with particular emphasis on water and wastewater treatment processes and management systems and practical knowledge and understanding of treatment plant operations and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated success developing, leading and motivating a team to achieve targets and deliverables.
• A valid and current Australian driver’s licence is required.
