Job summary

ING Bank (Australia) Limited is seeking a people-first leader with strong finance and reconciliations experience to drive performance, controls and continuous improvement across the Reconciliations Team in Sydney. You will manage a team of 12, champion risk and compliance, and foster accountability, engagement and growth in a fast-paced banking environment.

The role offers opportunities to influence projects, represent the team in cross-functional groups and build a high-performing culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Reconciliations, Treasury Operations / Payments in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring mid to large team sizes.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and trends.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organisation, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Thrive in ambiguous environments, using creativity and innovative thinking to solve complex challenges.

Job description

We're looking for a people-first leader with strong finance and reconciliations experience to drive performance, controls and continuous improvement across a critical operational function. As part of the Transaction Processing and Control team you will manage a team of 12 in the Reconciliations Team managing everything from workflow and service delivery, champion risk and compliance excellence, and build a culture of accountability, engagement and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of reconciliation specialists in a fast-paced banking environment, driving service excellence and operational performance, Continuous improvement while fostering a high-performing, engaged culture.
