Job summary

Anglicare Victoria is seeking a Team Leader for the Navigator Program in Preston, overseeing day-to-day delivery of services to disengaged learners in Northern Melbourne. The role leads a team of eight staff, ensuring high quality, flexible and accountable support to help young people re-engage with education.

You will liaise with schools, government and non-government agencies, apply child-centred frameworks, and build strong relationships with learners and families.

Qualifications

• Supervise and develop eight staff within the team.
• Ensure accurate client service information in the agency data system.
• Liaise with schools, government and non-government agencies on client issues.
• Apply frameworks to support school engagement for children and families.
• Build rapport with disengaged learners to support goal achievement.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication and negotiation.
• Maintain knowledge of school environments and educational policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of Navigator Service in Northern Melbourne.
• Create a supportive team environment for eight staff.
• Coordinate outreach across the region from Preston site.
• Utilise data collection systems for accountability and planning.
• Collaborate with schools and external agencies to re-engage learners.
• Support staff professional development through the Learning & Development team.
