Job summary

Uniting Victoria and Tasmania – Croydon VIC is seeking a Team Leader to guide a dedicated team supporting young people aged 12-17. You will apply trauma-informed, culturally safe, strengths-based approaches to achieve meaningful educational outcomes and coordinate with schools, families and community partners.

You will drive service excellence, foster innovation and lead staff through coaching and supervision, delivering person-centred support and continuous program improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level qualification in social work, psychology, social science or related discipline.
• Driver’s license valid in Victoria (essential).
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Experience in developing and leading complex programs/services in consumer- or community-centric services.
• Demonstrable supervisory experience in children, youth and family sector.
• Knowledge of family services, child protection and/or out of home care including relevant legislation.
• Understanding of barriers experienced by disengaged learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a dedicated team supporting young people aged 12-17 facing barriers to educational engagement.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to staff working with families, schools and communities.
• Drive service excellence, foster innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the program delivers high‑quality, person‑centred support.
