Fuse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Home Assessing Team Leader in Australia to lead and develop a high-performing team of Home Assessors. The role focuses on coaching, mentoring, ensuring accurate scoping and cost validation, and delivering quality claims outcomes.

Collaboration with builders, restorers and other stakeholders is central to shaping best practices within Home Claims. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience, Home Assessing or residential building background, and

Qualifications

• Leadership experience coaching and mentoring a professional team.
• Home Assessing, estimating or residential building experience is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Assessing or the Building Industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance and develop team capability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of Home Assessors to deliver high-quality claims outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance across scoping, cost validation, compliance and assessment practices.
• Monitor team performance against quality, productivity and customer service KPIs.
• Manage escalated claims, complaints and complex customer or stakeholder matters.
• Drive continuous improvement across Home Claims processes, systems and ways of working.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost control, efficiency and overall claims performance.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including builders and restorers.
• Support capability development, performance management, recruitment and workforce planning.

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience leading, coaching and mentoring a professional team
• Previous Home Assessing, estimating or residential building experience — essential
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Assessing or the Building Industry
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance, provide constructive feedback and develop team capability
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Insurance or claims experience is preferred, but not essential
