Job summary

Lives Lived Well in Bundaberg is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the Bundaberg Residential Service, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver recovery-focused care for people with alcohol and other drug challenges.

You will manage day-to-day operations, support intake, assessment, treatment planning and discharge, while promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services or related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership within health or community services.
• Experience with person-centred, recovery-oriented approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a residential treatment service.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team.

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to lead our Bundaberg Residential Service, supporting people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges to achieve meaningful and lasting recovery outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine leadership, practice oversight and service delivery within a well-established residential rehabilitation setting. You'll play a key role in creating a safe, therapeutic and recovery-focused environment while supporting and developing a multidisciplinary team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the day-to-day operations of a residential treatment service.
• Providing leadership, guidance and support to a multidisciplinary team.
• Supporting intake, assessment, treatment planning and discharge processes.
• Monitoring service delivery, client outcomes and quality standards.
• Facilitating team meetings, case reviews and practice discussions.
• Managing risk, incident response and service compliance requirements.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and service development.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within health, community services or the AOD sector.
• Experience supporting people with complex needs using person-centred and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Strong understanding of case management, assessment and treatment planning processes.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong administrative, reporting and computer skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within residential rehabilitation or therapeutic community settings.
• Knowledge of alcohol and other drug treatment services.
• Experience leading practice development, quality improvement or service innovation initiatives.
• Professional registration or membership relevant to your discipline.
