Job summary

Youth Justice and Victim Support in Woodford, QLD, is seeking an experienced Team Leader - Client Services to guide a multidisciplinary group delivering rehabilitation, therapeutic support and case management for young people in detention. Youth Justice and Victim Support – Woodford QLD

Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful outcomes?

The Woodford Youth Detention Centre (YDC) is seeking an experienced Team Leader - Client Services to play a key leadership role at the new Woodford Youth Detention Centre. In this role, you will lead and support a team of client services professionals, including allied health practitioners, caseworkers, and cultural liaison staff, to deliver high-quality rehabilitative, therapeutic and case management services to young people in detention.

You will provide professional leadership, effective oversight and strategic guidance to ensure services are evidence-based, culturally responsive and focused on reducing reoffending while supporting the wellbeing and rehabilitation of young people. Working closely with operational leaders and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the delivery of integrated services that support safer communities and better futures for young people.

Mandatory qualification requirements apply. As this position sits within the Professional Officer stream, applicants must possess a tertiary qualification at an AQF level 7 (bachlelor's degree) or above relevant to the role such as social work, behavioural science or social science, psychology, criminology, or other recognised degree.
