Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd is seeking a confident Team Leader for one of our airport stores in Melbourne. You will supervise shifts, coach staff, and act as second-in-charge, including opening, closing, and running the store solo when needed.

Key responsibilities include rostering, onboarding new starters, driving sales through customer experiences, and maintaining stock and store standards. Availability for a 7-day rotating schedule and eligibility for airport security checks are required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or hospitality leadership/supervisory experience (1–2+ years).
• Strong customer service and sales skills; lead by example.
• Confident handling cash, POS, and opening/closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and rostered teams, including opening/closing the store.
• Coach and onboard new starters on the floor.
• Drive sales through great customer experiences and promotions.
• Support stock control, visual merchandising, and store presentation standards.
• Stepping in for Store Manager during absences to keep operations running smoothly.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Team Leader to support our Store Manager in running one of our airport stores. You’ll lead shifts, coach the team, and step up as second-in-charge, including opening, closing, and running the store solo when needed. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting the team during rostered shifts, including opening and closing the store
• Coaching and supporting team members on the floor, including onboarding new starters
• Championing sales through great customer experiences, promotions, and upselling
• Supporting stock control, visual merchandising, and store presentation standards
• Stepping in for the Store Manager during absences to keep the store running smoothly

About You

We’re looking for someone ready to take the next step into leadership. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a retail or hospitality leadership or supervisory role, ideally 1-2+ years
• Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to lead by example
• Confidence handling cash, POS, and store opening/closing procedures
• Availability to work a 7 day rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays in line with airport trading hours
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
