As Team Lead, you'll provide technical leadership, support and day-to-day management of the team. You'll be the go-to person for technical guidance on fault-finding methodologies, customer management and problem resolution, and you'll roll up your sleeves to engage directly on complex technical issues to drive resolution and keep customers satisfied.
Our Infrastructure team sits within Technical Operations and delivers operational and project-based services to NEC and our customers across government and non-government sectors. The team covers a broad and interesting scope of work, including:
Lead the relevant technical team, managing and escalating major incidents to the Technical Delivery Manager and/or Major Incident Management team (SRMs)
Support service owners in developing and maintaining service descriptions and project SOWs
Identify and elevate opportunities for improvement to the Technical Delivery Manager
Participate in process forums as required
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on fault-finding methodologies, customer management and problem resolution
Manage day-to-day resourcing for direct reports, including performance and KPIs, leave, timesheet approval, overtime and on-call rostering
2+ years' experience in a technical leadership role
3+ years' previous experience in hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting within an enterprise environment
Strong technical leadership and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to mentor and guide technical staff
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate the business impact of problems and issues to all levels of management
A customer-first mindset when managing critical issues
Strong time management skills, with a proven ability to balance operational support with project demands
A genuine "can-do" attitude and willingness to support the needs of a professional team
