Ruah is a leading values-driven employer in Western Australia’s community services sector. Our staff go boldly, not just supporting people in need, but working to end homelessness, end domestic violence and create opportunities for people struggling with poverty and mental health challenges.

Our professional team of operational and corporate services staff is backed by one of WA’s biggest Peer support workforces. Our staff reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion, where difference is valued, celebrated and embraced.

By choosing to work with us, you are helping transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community.

About the Role

This Coordinated Response Service is delivered in partnership with WA Police and the Department of Communities (Child Protection). It provides timely, coordinated support following high-risk family and domestic violence incidents attended by WA Police in the Cannington and Armadale areas.

As Team Lead, you will provide leadership and operational oversight of the service. You will support the team to deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed and person-centred responses; coordinate effectively with partner agencies; and maintain high standards of risk management, practice, documentation and service quality.

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and support a high-performing team delivering specialist family and domestic violence triage responses
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight, workload coordination and practice guidance across the service
  • Ensure referrals arising from high-risk incidents attended by WA Police are triaged promptly and managed in line with service protocols
  • Oversee risk assessment, safety planning and coordinated responses for victim-survivors and their families
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with WA Police, the Department of Communities (Child Protection) and relevant community services
  • Promote culturally safe, trauma-informed and person-centred practice across the team
  • Manage complex situations, incidents, escalation and information sharing in accordance with legislation, policy and partnership protocols
  • Monitor service quality, client outcomes, documentation, reporting and compliance requirements
  • Support staff wellbeing, supervision, learning and professional development
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to service innovation and best practice

  • Strong understanding of service quality, risk, compliance, documentation and reporting requirements
