Job summary

Leeton High School in New South Wales is seeking a Mathematics teacher for Years 7–12 to join our dedicated staff. An unconditional full approval to teach is required, with the option for permanent part-time engagement.

Successful applicants will deliver innovative, differentiated Mathematics programs and integrate technology to raise student engagement and outcomes. The school values Aboriginal heritage and EAL/D enrolments, offers a diverse curriculum, and maintains strong community

Teacher Mathematics - Leeton High School

Leeton High School has an enrolment of 450 students with 15% of the student population being of Aboriginal heritage. The school has also experienced a steady increase in EAL/D enrolments in recent years.

Located on Wiradjuri land, Leeton High School is well-resourced, set on attractive and spacious grounds and offers a diverse curriculum to meet the needs of students to prepare them for a productive and successful future. The school takes great pride in delivering a variety of academic, sporting, cultural and vocational opportunities and boasts excellent creative and performing arts programs available to all students.

The school’s Strategic Improvement Plan evidences a collective commitment to improving student growth and attainment, the refinement of teacher practice and collaboration and a renewed drive to enrich learning and wellbeing for greater engagement and success.

Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Mathematics (Years 7 - 12).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and differentiated Mathematics teaching and learning programs, including integrating technology to inspire student engagement and improved learning outcomes.
  • Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
