As a Teacher Librarian, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The Teacher Librarian oversees the College Library, promoting reading, literacy and engagement with learning. This includes maintaining collections that are suitable for secondary students to broaden their exposure to literature, culture and history.
As a teacher, the librarian will teach and facilitate opportunities for deep reading, develop comprehension skills and suggest appropriate texts based upon a student’s interest, age and ability. The Teacher Librarian also leads a team of support staff to ensure the administration of the library is effectively operated. The Teacher Librarian will provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment, encouraging staff and students to access the space to research, study and deepen their love of learning.
