Private Advertiser in Melbourne is seeking an Accountant - Tax & Business Services Manager to lead a blended team and manage tax preparation for individual clients while overseeing BAS/IAS and business tax returns for corporate clients.

You will mentor staff, ensure timely delivery and high-quality work, and act as the primary adviser to a growing client base throughout the year. Australian tax knowledge and leadership experience are essential.

Formación

• Solid public practice experience across individual tax and business services.
• Efficient, practical approach to work, focused on delivering outcomes.
• Experience reviewing BAS and business tax returns.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
• Experience working with offshore team members and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Degree in accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing individual income tax returns directly with clients, in person or online.
• Managing, allocating and reviewing work by onshore and offshore staff, including BAS/IAS and financial statements.
• Providing clear feedback to offshore staff to maintain quality and turnaround.
• Reviewing FBT and payroll tax returns as required.
• Taking ownership of budgets, time and resources to deliver on time and on budget.
• Driving fast, efficient turnaround across both individual and business portfolios while maintaining quality.
• Meeting regularly with business clients to discuss results and tax planning.
• Being the go-to contact for business clients’ questions year-round.
• Coordinating workflow across locations and time zones with other specialists.
