Job summary

Loreto Kirribilli in Sydney seeks a passionate TAS Teacher (Design and Technology) to join the Senior School (Years 7–12) in a permanent full-time role commencing Term 1, 2027. You will deliver engaging, hands-on learning that fosters creativity, innovation and problem solving.

Reporting to the Principal through the Subject Coordinator, you will differentiate instruction, collaborate on curriculum development, contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular life, and safely operate workshop tools

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications with NESA accreditation.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school.
• Knowledge of design processes, prototyping and product development.
• Commitment to Catholic education and Loreto tradition.

Loreto Kirribilli seeks a passionate and dedicated TAS Teacher (Design and Technology) to join our Senior School teaching team (Years 7–12), in a permanent full-time position, commencing Term 1, 2027.

About the Role

• Teach Design and Technology across Years 7-12.
• Deliver engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation and problem‑solving.
• Inspire students through project‑based learning, design thinking and product development.
• Apply the School’s assessment and reporting processes consistently
• Differentiate learning to support diverse student needs, in collaboration with the Academic Support Department.
• Safely and effectively utilise workshop tools, equipment and machinery.
• Contribute to pastoral care through Circle Class, supporting student wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and faculty initiatives.
• Actively participate in co‑curricular programs and the broader life of the School.

• Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology and a passion for effective, contemporary teaching.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation.
• Knowledge of design processes, prototyping, product development and emerging technologies.
• A collaborative approach with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Willingness to contribute to the pastoral, spiritual, and co-curricular life of the School.
