Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education, theology, philosophy, ethics or related disciplines, with a passion for effective, contemporary teaching.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation to teach Religious Education.
• A collaborative approach with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Willingness to contribute to the pastoral, spiritual, and co-curricular life of the School.
• A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing, growth and development of young women.
• Commitment to Catholic education and the Loreto tradition.

Responsibilities

• Teach Religious Education across Years 7-12, experience teaching, or a willingness to teach Studies of Religion considered advantageous.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, ethical understanding and meaningful engagement with religious and contemporary issues.
• Apply the School’s assessment and reporting processes consistently.
• Differentiate learning to support diverse student needs, in collaboration with the Academic Support Department.
• Contribute to pastoral care through Circle Class, supporting student wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and Religious Education Faculty initiatives.
• Actively participate in co-curricular programs and the broader life of the School.

About the Role

Reporting to the Principal through the Subject Coordinator, you will:

• Teach Religious Education across Years 7-12, experience teaching, or a willingness to teach Studies of Religion considered advantageous.
