Job summary

ISD 423 - Hutchinson Middle School is seeking candidates to facilitate our Tiger Academic Time After School Program. Licensed educators will support, lead and facilitate sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

We are looking for teachers with a MN license for grades 6–8, with a focus on helping at-risk or struggling learners. The role includes developing learning plans and fostering a productive after-school environment.

Qualifications

• Current MN Teaching License for middle school grades 6-8.
• Preferred Middle School classroom experience and ALC/Targeted Services or Summer School experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Tiger Academic Time after-school program, 2:30–3:30 pm on Mon/Tue/Thu.
• Create continual learning plans for each student to support academic success.

ISD 423 - Hutchinson Middle School is seeking candidates to facilitate our Tiger Academic Time After School Program.

We are looking for licensed educators to support, lead and facilitate our middle school Tiger Academic Time program which takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Effective Date:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays on days that school is in session
• Sept. 14, 2026 - May 27, 2025

Hours:

• 1 hour per session from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Salary/Benefits:

• Targeted Services pay shall be pro-rated up to a maximum rate of thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour. Benefits include Sick Leave and Retirement Plan with employer contribution.

Required Licensure:

• Current MN Teaching License needed for middle school grades 6-8

Preferred Experience:

• Middle School classroom experience and previous ALC/Targeted Services or Summer School experience
• A commitment to student success
• Understanding of working with at risk and/or struggling learners
• Ability to form relationships with students and families in a short period of time

Major Responsibilities:

Targeted Services is part of a system of support to ensure all students are successful on their pathway to

graduation. Facilitators of the Tiger Academic Time program would work closely with all students enrolled to create a continual learning plan for each student. Facilitators will foster a supportive after-school learning environment that helps provide middle school students with beneficial study skills and productive work habits. The goal of our program is to help motivate students to establish habits that result in positive academic achievement in their courses.
