Job description

About Weel

Weel (Previously DiviPay) is Australia’s #1 virtual corporate card and expense management platform.

We’re on a mission to make spend management smarter, simpler, and a little more fun. Our platform gives finance teams real-time visibility and control over company spend - from smart corporate cards to automated accounts payable and effortless expense management - all in one place.

We’re growing fast across Australia (and recently launched in New Zealand), helping thousands of organisations, from purpose driven not-for-profits to ambitious mid-market companies, streamline their finances. Along the way, we’re lucky to have partnered with incredible brands like Petbarn, Yo-Chi, OzHarvest, and The Cowboys.

Backed by a successful $20M Series A raise, we’re investing heavily in what matters most: strengthening our product and building a team of exceptionally talented people who are passionate about changing the way businesses manage spend.

Our impact so far:
  • 4.8/5 rating on the Xero App Store
  • 60,000+ active cardholders across Australia (and growing)
  • Proud supporter of the Australian team at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games
  • Best Card Provider of the Year – Finder Awards
  • Top 10 Tech Innovator – Australian Financial Review
  • Platform of the Year, Best for Value, Best for Quality – WeMoney Awards
  • $1.5B+ in spend managed, powering finance teams across every industry

As a Talent Partner, you’ll help build the teams behind Weel’s next stage of growth.

You’ll be someone who is passionate about finding exceptional people and creating an experience that makes them want to join us. Someone who understands that recruitment is not just running a process - it’s matchmaking, storytelling, pitching, and everything in-between.

You’ll need to understand the business and the team, not just the brief. You’ll need to know the right questions to ask, when to dig deeper, and when the person sitting in front of you is better than their CV.

You’ll work closely with hiring managers across all business units (GTM, Product, Engineering etc.) to understand where we’re going, what we need to get there, and the people who can help us do it.

A bit more on the role
  • Partner with hiring managers across Engineering, Product, Design, Go-To-Market and our other functions to understand the problem we’re solving, shape hiring briefs and define what good looks like
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process, from intake and sourcing through to offer and close, ensuring an efficient process for both candidates and stakeholders.
  • Build thoughtful sourcing strategies to identify and attract exceptional talent through direct outreach, referrals, talent pools, networks and recruitment tools.
  • Use market insight and data to advise hiring managers on talent availability, candidate expectations and broader hiring trends.
  • Create a phenomenal candidate experience, with communication that is prompt, transparent and engaging
  • Give meaningful candidate feedback, including constructive and positive feedback over the phone. Even when someone doesn’t receive an offer, we want them to take something valuable away from their experience with Weel.
  • Bring consistency and inclusion to our hiring practices, helping ensure candidates are assessed fairly and against the capabilities that actually matter for the role.
  • Keep our recruitment data and systems accurate, maintaining and using TeamTailor, our ATS to run the process.
  • Continuously improve how we hire, identifying opportunities to improve our processes, tools, sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to increase both hiring quality and efficiency.
  • Build for the future, developing relationships and talent pipelines beyond the roles we’re hiring for today and helping Weel think ahead about the capabilities we’ll need tomorrow.
What matters to us

Talent acquisition You genuinely love finding great people. You’re curious, resourceful and willing to go beyond the obvious candidate pool. We are open to agency recruiters looking to make the move internally.

Candidate experience You care about how people experience Weel, whether they get the job or not. You communicate well, close the loop and treat candidates like humans, not applications.

Talent brand champion You can tell a compelling story about Weel. You know how to sell an opportunity without overselling it, and you understand that every candidate interaction shapes our reputation.

Creativity Find different ways to reach the right people, experimenting with what works and making our hiring campaigns something people actually want to engage with.

AI & automation You’re excited about finding better ways to work. You’ll experiment with tools like Claude Code to automate any repetitive stuff, improve quality and push what’s possible in Talent.

Diversity & individuality You believe great teams aren't built by hiring more versions of the same person. You value different backgrounds, perspectives and ways of thinking - and make sure our hiring process gives people a fair opportunity to show what they can do.

Growth mindset You’re never finished learning. You ask questions, seek feedback, try things, learn from what doesn’t work and keep raising the bar - for yourself, our hiring managers and the way Weel hires.

Our growing list of Weel perks:

Birthday leave and a budget to celebrate you!

Team events and bonding budgets

We offer a progressive parental leave policy

Wellness leave (no need to throw a “sickie” - your mental well-being is just as important as your physical health)

Study leave, a professional training budget and limitless career-growth opportunities

Access to our Uprise Employee Assistance Program

Pet-friendly offices

Summer Fridays

We operate in a hybrid environment, with three days per week based in our central Sydney CBD office. From bottomless mugs of free coffee and puppy picnics to regular social and recreational events, there’s something for everyone. We offer plenty of flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance.

We're better together

At Weel, we’re committed to fostering a genuinely inclusive and equitable workplace that promotes and values diversity: a place where everyone can bring their authentic, whole selves to work.

We celebrate uniqueness and diversity of experiences because we know that bringing together different points of view is our strength.

If you don't think you meet all the requirements of the role, we would still love to hear from you!
