We are delighted to be partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Recruitment Specialist on a 12–14 month fixed-term contract. Based in Sydney, this role supports recruitment across the firm nationally. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious legal environment and contribute to the firm’s continued success.

About the Role

This Sydney-based role offers a hybrid working model and is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment across all staff levels, including lawyers, support staff, and graduates. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager – Australia, you will also support the firm’s Graduate, Summer Clerk, and Paralegal programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Practice Group Leaders and Office Partners-in-Charge to identify hiring needs and recruitment strategies.
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle for lawyer and support staff roles, including sourcing, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.
• Leading the Graduate, Summer Clerk, and Paralegal recruitment programs across multiple offices.
• Drafting and posting job advertisements, including on LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Maintaining relationships with preferred recruitment agencies and ensuring compliance with Jones Day’s terms of business.
• Developing recruitment materials and strategies to promote the firm’s employer brand.
• Supervising and mentoring the HR Assistant.
• Supporting broader HR projects and administrative tasks as needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a minimum of four years’ recruitment experience, ideally with exposure to legal or professional services environments. You will be proactive, strategic, and client-service oriented, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The salary for this role is c. $160 000 pkg.
