About the role

Talent Acquisition is a strong focus within our People Plan, and we're changing the way we recruit.

We're moving away from reactive hiring and towards recruitment that's proactive, intentional and purposeful.

That means better conversations with hiring managers. Better hiring decisions. Better candidate experiences. And a Talent Acquisition approach that helps us attract the people we need for the future.

You’ll help make that happen.

You’ll help bring our new recruitment strategy to life, influence the way we recruit across the organisation and help build a more strategic approach to attracting and selecting talent.

And through it all, the candidate is at the heart of what we do. Because great recruitment isn't only about who we hire. It's also about how people experience us along the way. Every interaction matters, whether someone ultimately joins us or not.

If you’re passionate about great recruitment, helping create what comes next, love partnering with hiring managers and want an opportunity where you can genuinely make a difference, this is a great time to join.

What you’ll make happen
  • This is where great recruitment meets real impact. You’ll:
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment journey, from attraction to appointment.
  • Help bring our new recruitment strategy to life and move us beyond reactive hiring.
  • Partner with and coach hiring managers to make better hiring decisions.
  • Create recruitment campaigns and advertising that attract the right talent.
  • Champion fair, consistent and effective selection.
  • Deliver a candidate experience that’s timely, human and professional.
  • Strengthen onboarding and help new starters get off to a great start.
  • Challenge the status quo and find smarter, better ways to recruit.
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in contemporary recruitment, with a strong focus on candidate care
  • Experience coordinating end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
  • An understanding of contemporary human resources and recruitment practices
  • Experience using HR information systems or recruitment platforms
  • Strong digital capability, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen, guide and provide practical advice
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build productive relationships
  • High-level organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A fair, objective and transparent approach to decision-making
  • A high degree of integrity and a strong alignment with organisational values
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A qualification in Human Resources is preferred but not essential
  • A current and valid Working with Children Check
  • A satisfactory National Police Check
  • The ability to work across Box Hill Institute campuses and other locations as required
