Job summary

Slattery Grays Auction Group is recruiting a recruit­ment specialist to own end-to-end talent acquisition across our nationwide team. This 12-month fixed‑term, hybrid role can be based at Pinkenba (QLD) or St Leonards (NSW).

You will head direct sourcing, partner with leaders, and craft compelling ads to attract top talent. You'll manage screening, interviewing, reference checks and offers, while building pipelines for recurring roles and using AI to work smarter.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in an in-house talent acquisition role, agency recruitment, or both.
• Proven track record of direct sourcing and headhunting for sales or commercial roles.
• Experience recruiting high volumes of operational and frontline roles alongside professional and corporate hires.
• Strong stakeholder skills and the confidence to guide and influence hiring managers.
• Comfort using AI tools to boost your effectiveness, with the judgement to know where they help and where they don't.
• Experience with an ATS or HRIS (Employment Hero is a bonus).
• Clear, friendly communication, with discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across high-volume roles including yard, warehouse, sales and corporate positions.
• Direct sourcing and headhunting for key roles across our sites.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and plan for each role.
• Write compelling job ads and strengthen employer brand across Seek, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Screen, interview and shortlist candidates with a focus on capability and values.
• Run reference checks, prepare offers and hand over to onboarding.
• Build talent pipelines to reduce time-to-fill for recurring roles.
• Track recruitment activity and use insights to improve hiring experience.
• Use AI tools to source and draft, while applying sound judgement.
• Identify ways to simplify and speed up recruitment processes.
