Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a prominent government sector organisation to recruit an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner for a temporary assignment in Geelong. You will lead end-to-end recruitment, coach leaders, actively source talent, and champion diversity through proactive engagement and inclusive hiring practices.

In this role you will conduct strategy meetings, assess candidates, and facilitate onboarding while ensuring governance and compliance across all recruitment activities.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record in Talent Acquisition within complex, fast-paced environments (government or public sector experience is highly regarded).
• Stakeholder management excellence with ability to coach leaders and build trust.
• Diversity hiring strategies, proactive talent pooling, and inclusive recruitment practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders and hiring managers to deliver end-to-end talent acquisition across portfolios.
• Coach line managers on talent selection and assessment capabilities.
• Source talent internally and externally using market data and pipelines.
• Operationalise diversity and inclusion objectives via candidate engagement and talent pooling.
• Conduct hiring strategy meetings, review candidates, interviews/assessments, and onboarding.
• Ensure recruitment processes meet governance, compliance, and quality benchmarks.
• Analyze talent market trends to drive continuous improvement in recruitment solutions.

About the Client & Role:

Randstad is currently partnering with a prominent government sector organisation to recruit an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner on a temporary assignment to support the team through an upcoming busy period and planned leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with department leaders and hiring managers to deliver end-to-end talent acquisition across assigned portfolios.


• Act as an expert advisor and coach to line managers, supporting capability building in talent selection and assessment.


• Proactively source talent internally and externally using market data, talent pipelines, and targeted attraction activities.


• Operationalise diversity and inclusion objectives through proactive candidate engagement, talent pooling, and inclusive hiring practices.


• Conduct hiring strategy meetings, review candidates, conduct interviews/assessments, and facilitate onboarding.


• Ensure all recruitment processes meet organisational governance, compliance, and quality benchmarks.


• Analyze talent market trends and data to deliver continuous improvement and innovative recruitment solutions.

What You Bring

• Qualifications: Qualifications in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.


• Experience: Proven track record in Talent Acquisition within complex, fast-paced environments (government or public sector experience is highly regarded).


• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with a proven ability to coach leaders and build trust.


• Diversity Focus: Experience supporting and implementing diversity hiring strategies and proactive talent pooling.


• Sourcing Capability: Deep knowledge of modern sourcing strategies, talent acquisition technology, and candidate assessment techniques.
