We are seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our team based at our Tomago office. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role plays a critical part in delivering talent solutions that support business growth and workforce capability. Partnering closely with leaders across the business, you will provide expert recruitment advice, lead end-to-end hiring activities, and drive initiatives that enhance attraction, selection, and onboarding outcomes.

This is a fast-paced, highly consultative role requiring strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and challenge thinking. You will develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies, build talent pipelines for critical roles, and contribute to workforce planning initiatives to ensure WesTrac remains well-positioned to attract and retain top talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational leaders to deliver recruitment solutions for chargeable trades, technician, field service, and production roles that support business growth and customer demand.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for high-volume and critical blue-collar vacancies, ensuring timely and quality hiring outcomes.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for hard-to-fill trade, technical, and regional positions.
  • Provide labour market insights, recruitment analytics, and workforce planning recommendations to support operational workforce requirements.
  • Lead recruitment campaigns and talent initiatives that improve attraction, conversion, and retention of blue-collar talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement, system optimisation, and candidate experience initiatives to enhance recruitment efficiency and service delivery.
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting blue-collar, trade, technical, or operational roles within an internal or agency environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships with operational leaders.
  • Proven success sourcing and attracting passive candidates in competitive labour markets.
  • Ability to leverage recruitment metrics, workforce data, and market intelligence to inform hiring strategies.
  • Experience managing high-volume recruitment and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in recruitment systems, talent sourcing tools, and data management practices.
