Operating within one of Australia's largest Caterpillar assembly facilities, our New Machines Workshop builds a wide range of mining and construction equipment for customers across NSW and the ACT. From excavators and dozers through to off-highway trucks and drills, this team delivers some of the most impressive CAT machines in the industry.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating machine build projects from order release through to customer delivery. Working closely with workshop supervisors, technicians, engineering teams, sales representatives and customers, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

If you're highly organised, enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment, and thrive on managing multiple priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new machine build projects from planning and scheduling through to final delivery, ensuring customer expectations are achieved.
  • Manage workshop schedules, monitor project milestones, and proactively address risks impacting timelines or project outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, providing regular project updates and delivery forecasts.
  • Monitor project performance against budget, schedule, quality, and contractual commitments, escalating issues where required.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient project execution and resource alignment.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in project coordination, project management, manufacturing, operations, or a similar project-based environment.
  • Exposure to mining, construction, heavy industry, mobile plant, or equipment assembly environments will be highly regarded.
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification and/or tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, with a strong focus on detail and delivery outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
