Peabody seeks a Senior Mining Engineer for the Wambo Tailings Rehabilitation Project in NSW. The role focuses on technical planning, design, and coordination, with engagement of geotechnical consultants and stakeholders to align with environmental and operational goals.

You'll work within a dynamic Technical Services team, travel to Peabody sites as needed, and contribute to broader mining and infrastructure initiatives across Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in open-cut and underground mining operations.
• Proven mine design, rehabilitation planning, and mining infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining engineering and technical support for the Wambo Tailings Rehabilitation Projects.
• Develop and manage designs and operational sequencing plans.
• Liaise with the open-cut mine operator to coordinate mine waste material supply and logistics.
• Provide engineering and technical support into mining and infrastructure designs at other Peabody Operations in Australia.
• Collaborate with site teams and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational and environmental objectives.
• Support approvals processes through technical documentation and design validation.
