Job summary

Emanate Technology seeks a Systems Support Engineer to ensure stability, security, and performance of production infrastructure and internal IT services. You will manage incidents, support users, maintain systems, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements.

You will work across Windows and Linux environments, networks, security, cloud services, and end-user support to deliver reliable IT solutions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or equivalent.
• Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing concepts.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management technologies.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment where service availability is critical.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across servers, networks, and applications.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Assess service impacts and determine escalation and remediation paths.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams during major incidents.
• Maintain detailed operational documentation and support procedures.
• Participate in an on-call roster providing after-hours support when required.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and security patching.
• Administer backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor system health and proactively address risks before they impact operations.
• Support infrastructure improvements and capacity planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate configuration and asset records.
• Deliver high-quality technical support through service requests and incident tickets.
• Provision and manage user accounts, permissions, devices, and applications.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• Coordinate hardware deployments, software installations, and licensing activities.
• Create user guides, technical knowledge articles, and support documentation.
• Provide guidance and training to users on technology tools and best practices.
