Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a qualified System Support Engineer to support day-to-day operations of client application systems. You will engage in incident management, debugging, and DevOps practices while contributing to the delivery of solutions for clients.

You will work in an environment that values continuous learning, collaboration, and high-quality software delivery. The role involves rotation and multi-engagement responsibilities within Agile teams.

Qualifications

Experience with Java and .Net, plus cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP.
Proficiency in scripting with Python and PowerShell.
Ability to debug using debugging tools and troubleshoot issues in code.
Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure Pipelines.
Exposure to monitoring tools DataDog/Prometheus/Grafana.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Scrum or Kanban.
Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested code and fixes.

Responsibilities

Work with incident management process and tools.
Debug complex issues in active application systems to resolve business-impacting problems.
Follow standards to improve operational efficiency, stability and availability.
Support and deliver high-quality software using continuous delivery practices in cross-functional teams.
Use logging techniques for alerting, monitoring and root-cause analysis of incidents.
Create meaningful reports and KPIs; set up alerting and monitoring for faster incident response.
Apply latest technology thinking from Thoughtworks Technology Radar to solve client problems.
