Job summary

Northrop Grumman is offering a role in Exmouth, Australia, focused on integrating, verifying and testing a major Defence communications capability across hardware, software and infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to move from paperwork to live system performance and support government test programs.

Ideal candidates are avionics/electrical/mechatronics engineers with systems engineering, integration, testing or validation experience in Defence or similar complex

Job description

The Role:

Based in Exmouth, you'll help bring a major Defence communications capability into service through integration, verification and testing activities across hardware, software and infrastructure. It's a role for someone who enjoys getting beyond the paperwork, working alongside technicians and engineers to solve problems, investigate issues and see systems perform in the real world.

The program is still growing, which means the work continues to evolve. You'll have the opportunity to contribute across testing, maintenance support, systems engineering and operational readiness while building experience that is difficult to get in more narrowly defined engineering roles.

Exmouth is an opportunity to trade traffic and long commutes for a coastal lifestyle while working on a genuinely complex Defence program. Australian Citizenship and NV1 security clearance required, or ability to obtain and maintain.

Key Responsibilities

Support integration, verification and testing activities across complex communications and mission systems.

Investigate technical issues and work with engineers and technicians to identify practical solutions.

About You

You might be an Avionics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer with a few years' experience, or you may already be working in aviation, sustainment, technical services or a maintenance support environment.
