Job summary

Thales Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to define, integrate and verify complex system requirements and architectures for defence and government projects. The role is located in Sydney, with tasks spanning requirements analysis, development of functional and physical solutions, and rigorous verification activities.

You will produce engineering reports, design documents and participate in customer presentations, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required and membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust)
• Experience with Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Experience authoring/reviewing technical documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Define, integrate and verify system requirements and architectures
• Conduct requirements analysis from user/customer needs
• Develop functional and physical solutions with test/demonstration cases
• Decompose architectures into subsystems/elements
• Implement and verify solutions
• Produce engineering reports, specs and design documents
• Verify architectures against requirements
• Present solutions to customer representatives
• Plan and execute engineering activities to enable timely completion
