Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking an aspiring Associate Systems Engineer to join our growing teams in Hawthorn, VIC. This role offers the opportunity to develop your systems engineering skills while supporting the delivery and sustainment of leading-edge defence capabilities.

During the role you will assist in gathering requirements, develop documentation, contribute to system architecture, and participate in testing activities. Hybrid work arrangements will be considered.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years’ experience in Systems Engineering activities prior to this role.
• Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Basic familiarity with military systems or related defence technologies is desirable.
• Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to the creation of system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
• Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.
• Participate in testing activities, including functional, integration, and system testing.
