Job summary

The National Rugby League (NRL) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Technology Team and help shape the future of Rugby League. You will design, implement and maintain the infrastructure that underpins our digital platforms, across cloud, network, and security domains.

You will work with Development, Data and Security teams to deliver reliable, scalable services used by fans, players and partners, while driving infrastructure modernisation and automation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration or a similar technical role.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong networking, systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, identity and access management, and security best practices.
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and vendor management skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and passion for emerging technologies.

About the role:

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure that underpins the NRL's digital ecosystem. You will work across cloud, networking, systems, telecommunications and security technologies, ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable and highly available.
