Job summary

New South Wales Rugby League Ltd in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Major Competitions Coordinator to support delivery of NSWRL’s major and pathway competitions. Reporting to the Head of Major and Pathways Competitions, you will drive digital platform operations and game-day coordination.

You will recruit and train sideline officials, manage registrations and clearances, generate weekly operations reports and ensure compliance across clubs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Sports Administration or relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently across diverse stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the Game of Rugby League.
• Sporting industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation, education and operations of all digital platforms used across the Major and Pathways competitions.
• Recruit, train and manage weekly appointments of sideline officials and provide weekly feedback on performance.
• Manage the compliance needs of clubs, including clearances, player registrations, permits, contracts, squad management, performance staff, doctors and training schedule submissions.
• Coordinate the weekly operations reports.
• Manage and track PPIS assessments for Ron Massey and Sydney Shield.
• Support daily operational needs of all Major and Pathways competitions.
• Manage all international clearances associated with Major & Pathway competitions.
• Provide weekend phone support on roster basis across the competitions.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Head of Major and Pathways Competitions, the Major Competitions Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the smooth and effective delivery of NSWRL’s major competitions and affiliated pathway competitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the implementation, education and operations of all digital platforms used across the Major and Pathways competitions.

• Manage the compliance needs of clubs, including clearances, player registrations, permits, contracts, squad management, performance staff, doctors and training schedule submissions.
• Coordinate the weekly operations reports.

About You:

Consistent with the nature of the sporting industry, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings and reasonable additional hours as is required to fulfil the requirements of this position. Remuneration is set in recognition of this requirement.
