About the team

The Group Technology team supports the technology platforms and services that underpin Wesfarmers Corporate Office and the broader Group.

You’ll join a collaborative team that values ownership, continuous improvement and practical problem solving.

About you

You’ve built solid experience across cloud, infrastructure and endpoint technologies and enjoy working across a broad technology environment.

You're comfortable moving between operational support, technical problem solving and continuous improvement activities, and take a practical approach to getting things done.

You bring sound technical foundations, good judgement and a willingness to take ownership when issues arise. You're comfortable working independently but know when to engage others and collaborate to get the right outcome.

You're curious, adaptable and motivated by the opportunity to broaden your experience across a diverse range of technologies and challenges.

Stepping into a 12-month contract role, you'll ensure the stability, performance and continuous improvement of the cloud, infrastructure and endpoint technologies that support Wesfarmers' modern hybrid workplace.

  • Infrastructure and cloud operations: support and maintain core infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure and VMware, helping to ensure the reliability, performance and security of technology services.
  • Endpoint and workplace technology: manage and optimise endpoint environments across Intune, Jamf and other MDM platforms, supporting device provisioning, policy management, endpoint security, lifecycle management and user experience outcomes.
  • Technical support and issue resolution: provide advanced troubleshooting and support across infrastructure, cloud and business applications, acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues and driving issues through to resolution.
  • Security, patching and resilience: support vulnerability remediation, patching, backup and disaster recovery activities, helping to maintain a secure and resilient technology environment.
  • Automation and continuous improvement: identify opportunities to automate routine administration and support activities, contribute to system optimisation initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration and delivery: work closely with Technology colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose solutions, maintain quality documentation and continuously improve support processes.
What you’ll need
  • Infrastructure and cloud capability: experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud environments, with capability across Microsoft 365, Azure and virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
  • Endpoint and device management: hands-on experience with endpoint management and MDM platforms such as Intune, Jamf or similar, including device lifecycle management, policy enforcement, patching and endpoint security.
  • Technical troubleshooting: strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across infrastructure, cloud and end-user technology environments, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Security and resilience: exposure to vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery practices, and a good understanding of secure and resilient technology environments.
  • Automation and continuous improvement: an interest in automation, system optimisation and finding practical ways to improve technology services, processes and user experience.
  • Ownership and collaboration: confidence working autonomously with sound judgement and accountability, combined with the communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
