Job summary

Rashi Joshi is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a Defence consultancy delivering specialist engineering and capability outcomes across major Australian Defence programs. Qualifications

• NV1 AGSVA clearance or capable to obtain it.
• Experienced Systems Engineer with Defence or complex technical environments.
• Experience in capability acquisition, integration, sustainment or modernisation projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience developing technical documentation and management plans.
• Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience supporting Test & Evaluation activities.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of a major Defence capability program focused on modernising mission-critical identification, communications and interoperability.
• Conduct systems engineering, integration, T&E, risk management and capability assurance activities.
• Coordinate technical trials and capability demonstrations.
• Develop engineering artefacts and technical documentation.
• Advise Defence project teams and stakeholders on technical issues.
• Assist with capability acceptance and operational readiness activities.
• Collaborate across Defence, industry and coalition partners.

Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting a critical Defence capability modernisation initiative. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside Defence personnel, industry partners and coalition stakeholders on complex capability integration, interoperability and technical assurance activities.

Your new role

Working as part of a specialist engineering team, you will support the delivery of a major Defence capability program focused on modernising mission-critical identification, communications and interoperability capabilities across multiple operational domains. You will be involved in systems engineering, integration, Test & Evaluation, risk management and capability assurance activities while working closely with Defence stakeholders to ensure capability outcomes are achieved. Planning, coordinating and supporting technical trials and capability demonstrationsIdentifying and managing technical, interoperability and integration risksConducting systems engineering activities across complex Defence capability projectsSupporting Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning, execution and reportingAnalysing trial outcomes and technical data to support certification and operational acceptanceDeveloping engineering artefacts, management plans and technical documentationSupporting capability lifecycle management and sustainment activitiesProviding technical advice to Defence project teams and stakeholdersAssisting with capability acceptance and operational readiness activitiesWorking collaboratively across Defence, industry and coalition partner environments.

What you'll need to succeed

• NV1 AGSVA clearance
• Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience within Defence or complex technical environments
• Experience supporting capability acquisition, integration, sustainment or modernisation projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience developing technical documentation, management plans and engineering artefacts
• Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and frameworks
• Experience supporting Test & Evaluation activities
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability.
• Defence capability delivery programme experienceknowledge of C4ISR, communications or mission systems environments
• Joint, air, maritime or land capability programme exposure
