Job summary

Marble Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead master BOQ development, display home pricing and base pricing accuracy across custom and volume housing projects.

You will partner with Procurement, Sales and Production to improve estimating processes, reduce costs and support growth, while maintaining high standards of cost control and pricing integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' residential estimating experience.
• Senior estimating experience within custom or volume housing.
• Strong master BOQ and estimating systems capability.
• Experience across sales, production and BOQ estimating highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of residential construction principles and regulations.
• High level of estimating software and database competency.
• Commercial understanding of costs, margins and profitability.
• Methodical approach to problem-solving and process improvement
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain master BOQs, recipes and mini bills.
• Estimate display homes, options and base pricing.
• Maintain estimating price files and cost-centre structures.
• Support variation price book development and maintenance.
• Analyse cost movements, material wastage and margins.
• Review floorplan and façade pricing models.
• Support competitive tendering across selected cost centres.
• Provide pricing support for retail promotions and product releases.
• Recommend improvements to estimating systems and processes.
• Work closely with Construction, Drafting, Finance, Sales and Product Development.
• Liaise with suppliers and trades regarding pricing, rates and scopes of work

The Role

This is a hands-on estimating role focused on systems development, master BOQs, display home estimating and pricing accuracy.

Working closely with the Procurement and Estimating teams, you will improve estimating processes, strengthen cost control and ensure pricing systems support the continued growth of the business.
