Job summary

Leaders IT in Sydney is seeking a Business and Systems Analyst to partner with stakeholders, map processes, and translate requirements into functional specs and data flows. You will drive system enhancements and support AI-enabled solutions across cloud and enterprise platforms.

The role involves collaboration with technical teams and vendors, evaluating technology options, and ensuring governance and integration across enterprise systems to improve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Business and Systems Analysis

• Consult with business stakeholders to identify, analyse and document business requirements, operational processes and system needs.
• Conduct business process analysis and workflow mapping to identify opportunities for system enhancement and operational efficiencies.
• Investigate existing systems and evaluate their suitability to support business objectives.
• Develop functional specifications, process models, use cases, data flows and business requirements documentation.
• Perform impact assessments and feasibility analysis relating to proposed system changes and enhancements.
• Analyse system issues and recommend practical technology solutions to meet business requirements.

• Contribute to digital transformation and innovation initiatives, including AI-enabled business solutions.

Enterprise Application Support

• Provide advanced support for enterprise systems and business-critical applications.
• Monitor application functionality, availability and operational performance.
• Investigate incidents, defects and performance issues through structured problem analysis and root cause identification.
• Coordinate testing, deployment, release management and user acceptance activities.
• Maintain application documentation, support procedures and technical knowledge repositories.

AI, Cloud and Digital Platforms

• Support AI-enabled applications including Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge search and intelligent automation solutions.
• Analyse business opportunities for automation and application of AI technologies.
• Support Azure cloud-hosted services, integrations and enterprise applications.
• Assist in developing and maintaining AI knowledge repositories and enterprise search capabilities.
• Monitor solution effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve business outcomes and user experience.

Systems Integration and Data Management

• Analyse integration requirements across enterprise systems and third-party applications.
• Support API-based integrations and data exchange processes.
• Evaluate data quality, data flows and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve system interoperability issues.
• Assist with design and implementation of secure and scalable integration solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Present system recommendations, solution options and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Support end-user training, adoption and change management activities.
• Coordinate vendor support and delivery activities where required.

Governance and Compliance

• Ensure systems comply with organisational policies, security standards and governance frameworks.
• Support audits, compliance activities and security reviews.
• Maintain system documentation and records to support operational and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation activities associated with enterprise systems.
