Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst in Melbourne to support the readiness, implementation and transition of an enterprise-wide system through to go-live and into business-as-usual operations.

This role would suit a hands-on Systems Analyst who enjoys working across both technology and business solutions. You will work closely with vendors, project teams and a range of business stakeholders to ensure systems, users and operational support models are fully prepared for implementation.

The role will play a key part in the go-live, onboarding and care period, helping to resolve issues, support users and ensure a smooth transition from project delivery into ongoing operational support.

About the Role

Reporting into the Information & Technology Services division, your immediate priority will be ensuring operational readiness for go-live, with the appropriate processes, documentation, support arrangements and user capability in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Support go-live readiness activities, planning and implementation.
• Work closely with vendors, project teams and business stakeholders to identify and resolve outstanding actions, risks and dependencies.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test execution, defect identification, troubleshooting and track issues through to resolution.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, working with the vendor and ITS teams and escalating risk where required.
• Support the development and maintenance of user guides, operational procedures, system documentation and support materials.
• Assist with user readiness activities, including communications, training and preparation of supporting materials.
• Help establish the operational support model and transition from project delivery into business-as-usual.
• Support knowledge transfer and the establishment of appropriate support and issue-triage processes.
• Provide dedicated functional support to users during onboarding
• Help users understand system functionality, troubleshoot issues and ensure problems are appropriately triaged and escalated.

About You

You will be a solutions-focused Systems Analyst with experience supporting systems through implementation, testing, go-live or transition into business-as-usual. You will be confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and comfortable taking ownership of issues through to resolution.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across a diverse stakeholder group.
• Demonstrated experience in software configuration, database management and system integration.
• Experience supporting system implementations, testing, troubleshooting or go-live activities.
• Proven experience training users and supporting the adoption of processes and systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with external technology vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• The ability to work collaboratively across project, technology and business teams.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a go-live environment.
• Experience with programming languages, project management methodologies and data analysis tools would be advantageous.
