Job summary

Disrupt Digital Pty Ltd in Fortitude Valley, Queensland is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and optimise our IT infrastructure. This full-time role ensures the smooth operation, security, and reliability of our server and network environments, enabling our teams to work efficiently and securely from the Fortitude Valley office.

You will install, monitor, back up, patch systems, manage user access, troubleshoot issues, document configurations, and support IT projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant certification in systems administration, network administration, or related IT discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in a systems administration or similar IT infrastructure role.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices, data protection principles, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and resource allocation to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery testing, and implement backup solutions to protect critical data.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance with security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Apply security patches, updates, and system upgrades to maintain system security and functionality.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain comprehensive system records.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users and internal teams regarding system usage and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to plan and implement system improvements and infrastructure enhancements.
• Monitor compliance with IT policies and security standards across all systems and network infrastructure.
• Evaluate, deploy, and maintain AI-driven tools, automation scripts, and workflows to streamline IT operations, optimize system monitoring, and enhance internal team productivity.
• Research emerging technologies, recommend system and network upgrades, and assist leadership with infrastructure enhancements.
