Job summary

Youth Off The Streets is seeking a mid-level Systems Administrator to manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams. You will ensure secure, reliable systems to support vulnerable children and young people from our Alexandria HQ with hybrid flexibility.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar role, strong cloud troubleshooting skills, and experience with PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and improve security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Defender.
• Strong desktop and endpoint support capability and credentialed access management experience.

Responsibilities

• Microsoft 365 administration — Manage accounts, licences, permissions and access.
• Identity management — Support Entra ID, MFA, conditional access and authentication issues.
• Endpoint management — Assist with Intune enrolment, deployment, configuration and compliance.
• Technical support — Resolve cloud and device incidents, first point of escalation.
• Security monitoring — Monitor service health, alerts and Microsoft recommendations.
• Risk escalation — Escalate complex or security-sensitive matters appropriately.
• Documentation — Maintain configuration and support documentation.
• Continuous improvement — Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security and efficiency.

About the Role

If you’re a Microsoft 365 and Intune administrator looking for meaningful work, modern cloud platforms and a supportive team, this role offers all three.

As our Systems Administrator, you’ll provide day‑to‑day administration and support across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams. You’ll help ensure staff have secure, reliable and modern systems that enable them to support vulnerable children and young people.

This is a mid‑level role with a salary of up to $100,000, offering strong development pathways in cloud administration, identity, endpoint management and cyber security. You’ll work closely with senior technology staff, gaining hands‑on experience that builds toward more advanced engineering responsibilities.

This position is based at our Head Office in Alexandria, with hybrid flexibility and occasional travel to other YOTS sites.

What you’ll do

• Microsoft 365 administration — Manage accounts, licences, permissions and access

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent role, supporting modern cloud‑based environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services — including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Defender.
• Strong desktop and endpoint support capability — confident resolving issues across managed devices and cloud‑connected services.
• Account, licence and access management experience — administering user accounts, groups, permissions and access controls.
• Intune enrolment and configuration skills — covering application deployment, configuration profiles and compliance policies.
• Troubleshooting strength across Microsoft cloud services — able to investigate and resolve issues across platforms and endpoints.
• Sound judgement in assessing technical and security risk — escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
• Clear written and verbal communication — able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical staff.
• Excellent attention to detail — especially when performing system changes or configuration updates.
• Process automation or scripting experience, particularly PowerShell
• Vulnerability remediation or security hardening
• Network infrastructure support, monitoring or system health checks
• Lifecycle management, backup, recovery or business continuity
• VoIP telephony (especially 3CX)
• Awareness of secure and responsible AI implementation

Qualifications:
