Job summary

Synechron, Adelaide, is seeking a Systems Administrator to support, manage, and improve enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid platforms in a consulting context.

You will work with clients and delivery teams to ensure secure, stable systems, modernising infrastructure and enabling cloud migration initiatives while maintaining documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support.
• Experience in enterprise or consulting environments preferred.
• Strong Microsoft infrastructure background.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work across multiple client environments.
• Government Security Clearance (Baseline/ NV1)

Responsibilities

• Support and manage enterprise Windows Server and cloud environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity services.
• Support infrastructure modernisation and cloud migration initiatives.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Assist with security hardening and compliance requirements.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams.
• Participate in technical discovery sessions and client workshops.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

The Role

As a Systems Administrator, you will support, manage, and improve enterprise infrastructure environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid platforms. You will work closely with clients and internal delivery teams to ensure secure, stable, and scalable systems.

This is a consulting-focused role where you’ll work across multiple clients and technologies, contributing to both operational excellence and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
