Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Sydney is seeking an experienced restructuring professional to lead and support engagements across a broad range of sectors, focusing on turnaround, insolvency, and advisory work.

You will analyse cash flow, model scenarios, coordinate with clients and lenders, and guide teams through formal appointments with mentorship for junior members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in formal restructuring/advisory environments.
• Knowledge of debt restructuring and capital-structure optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements across multiple sectors.
• Analyse cash flow, liquidity, working capital and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts and stakeholder materials for client recommendations.
• Collaborate with management teams, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders to stabilise businesses and deliver outcomes.
• Contribute to formal appointments including voluntary administrations and liquidations where relevant.
• Manage workstreams, deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced, outcomes-focused environment.
• Coach and develop junior team members with responsibilities aligned to experience.
