Job summary

Linfox is seeking an experienced Rail Operations Manager to lead the Sydney rail operation with end-to-end accountability for safety, performance and financial outcomes. This role focuses on delivering reliable service, managing weekly P&L, and building strong customer partnerships in a dynamic logistics environment.

You will coach and develop leaders and operational teams, drive continuous improvement, and partner with stakeholders to ensure operational excellence across the network while

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing operational teams.
• Proven commercial and financial management capability, including budgeting and P&L accountability.
• Strong stakeholder management across customers, regulators and internal teams.
• Analytical, proactive and solutions-focused with a track record of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture through effective risk management and continuous improvement of site safety performance.
• Lead rail operations to ensure service delivery, operational efficiency and customer expectations are met.
• Manage the site's commercial performance through budget ownership, weekly P&L management, cost control and productivity initiatives.
• Build strong customer partnerships, acting as the key contact for operational performance and growth opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop leaders and operational teams to drive accountability and engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, operational performance, environmental outcomes and customer service excellence.
