Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering and building design consultancy to recruit an Approvals & Permits Officer to join their Sydney team. Working alongside experienced engineers, planners and designers, you will ensure projects progress smoothly through the planning and approvals process.

Responsibilities include lodging Development Applications, preparing supporting documents, coordinating submissions, and liaising with consultants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coordinating DA applications and the planning approvals process.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of your workload.
• The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines at once.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and lodging Development Applications and managing them throughout the approval process.
• Preparing documentation to support planning applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and Waste Management Plans.
• Coordinating the information and reports required for submissions.
• Working closely with a range of consultants, architects and civil engineers & surveyors.
• Acting as a key link between building designers, engineers and external consultants throughout the design and approvals process.
• Following up on outstanding information and ensuring applications continue to progress within required timeframes.
• Reviewing documentation carefully to ensure submissions are accurate, complete and ready for lodgments.
