Based in Parramatta with flexible working, the position offers permanent hours and a salary range of 142,695 to 152,731 AUD plus super, depending on experience.

About the role

Want to help shape NSW's renewable energy future? We're looking for passionate and motivated professionals to join our Transmission Post Approval Team in an ongoing role, working on some of the state's most significant renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects.

The team plays a critical role in enabling the delivery of Renewable Energy Zones and major transmission projects while maintaining high environmental standards. The Senior Planning Officer Post Approval is responsible for the review of post approval documentation (such as environmental management plans) for various State significant transmission and renewable energy projects, focusing on EnergyCo’s transmission infrastructure projects; enabling the on-time construction of renewable energy projects and maintaining a high standard of environmental management.

The role requires the review of a high volume of post approval documentation for transmission and other renewable energy post approval matters. The role also involves engaging and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the effective delivery of renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will be outcomes focused , seeking to identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems and aiming to improve efficiency in both quality and turnaround time for proponents and the Department.

You will also assist in the development of best practice post-approval guidance and support material for the key stakeholder groups, government agencies and internal development assessment teams.

You will bring demonstrated knowledge and experience with delivery of infrastructure projects and management of post approval matters, applicable legislation and regulations such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

We can only consider your application if you have a degree qualification in Planning or related discipline such as Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning, Engineering (essential).
