Job summary

Big Event Picnic Tables in Sydney operates a busy yard in Revesby and supplies event furniture across Australia. We are seeking a hands-on Sydney Operations Lead to run the yard, roster the Sydney crew and ensure timely, safe deliveries and returns.

You will load trucks, drive locally, operate a forklift, and mentor a small team, while coordinating with Melbourne for bookings and stock. This role suits outdoor work, early starts, and weekends during peak season.

Qualifications

• A current full car driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• A current forklift license—essential.
• Confidence driving a truck and towing, reversing and manoeuvring a trailer.
• At least two years’ hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics, events, removals or a trade.
• Experience leading a small crew or supervising a shift.
• Organisation skills to manage rosters and keep the right people on the right jobs.

Responsibilities

• Run the Revesby yard day to day, keeping it safe, tidy and organised.
• Manage the Sydney casual crew roster, confirming availability and arranging cover.
• Drive our truck and trailer to deliveries and collections across Sydney.
• Operate a forklift to move stock and load and unload vehicles.
• Lead a small casual crew, usually two to four people, and show new starters the ropes.
• Work with event organisers to get everything in place safely and on time.
